The Mission of Divine Mercy

New Braunfels, Texas 78132

The Mission of Divine Mercy is a new community seeking to be an instrument of Jesus' Mercy for the world today. Canonically it is a private association of the faithful. It was founded in 2001 when the Archdiocese of San Antonio invited them to come to New Braunfels, Texas.

The community is to include priests, religious men and women, and consecrated laity. A new branch is in formation for lay persons, married or single, who want to belong spiritually to the Mission of Divine Mercy while living and working in the world.

To serve the spiritual mission of their Community they are developing Mission La Divina Misericordia on 126 acres in the rugged Texas Hill Country near Canyon Lake in the Hill Country of Comal County, approximately 20 minutes from New Braunfels.

It will include:
A Sanctuary - a holy place, consecrated to the Lord; and oasis of peace where many can come to pray and experience His Mercy.
A Monastery - a place where the Community can live and pray, work and serve; where they can receive new vocations and provide a permanent contemplative presence.
A Retreat Center - a place for different spiritual activities such as retreats, youth camps, conferences, spiritual direction, etc.
