Founded in 1859 by "a young Parisian woman, Laura Leroux, duchess of Bauffremont (1832-1917) and a religious Minor Franciscan, the servant of God Father Gregorio Fioravanti, (1822-1894) from Grotte di Castro (Viterbo)."
Today the Missionary Sisters have a global presence in 21 countries.
